About Us
Sooke Mountain Cycle is a full service bicycle shop located in the heart of Sooke, BC on Vancouver Island. Sooke is a short 35-minute drive from downtown Victoria, the Capital City of British Columbia. The newly incorporated community’s residents enjoy a relaxed, casual lifestyle in a rural setting that also affords many of the amenities of city life, in addition to access to wilderness areas in the back country or to the rugged coast of our island and the ocean.
Whether you throw your leg over a bicycle to cruise along the scenic Galloping Goose trail, challenge yourself by climbing a mountain trail, pedal far into the woods to hidden places, or to thrill yourself with steep trails or jumps, bicycles are a vehicle like none other.
To simply call them a machine understates their ability to not only take you to physical places not reachable on foot but also their ability to take the rider to a state of bliss. No matter what type of cycling you do, there is a point when riding your bike is simply the experience of the wind in your face and the pure enjoyment of whatever journey you are on. The smile on a child’s face when they take their first pedal strokes on a bicycle are the same smiles you see on many throughout their lives as they turn their pedals. Cycling is a lifetime sport that everyone can enjoy.
There are many factors that contribute to a great cycling experience such as the right type of bicycle for the terrain or use, the right fit so you are comfortable, proper maintenance to ensure your bike functions well, the right clothing to protect you from the elements and the right equipment to ensure that you have the correct tools and supplies with you. When your bike is running properly and fits you well, the less you will notice your bike and the more you will enjoy the “experience” of cycling.
At Sooke Mountain Cycle we are passionate cyclists who understand what it means to enjoy riding your bike. We see ourselves as your partners in your cycling experience so we have adopted a service pledge based on enhancing and maintaining that optimal experience. We will help you choose the right bicycle for your needs, we will do our best to fix your bicycle if something goes wrong with it, and we will smile when you come in to our shop, because after all, isn’t that what bicycles are all about?
Shop Policy
- New Bike Assembly Guarantee – Every new bike we sell comes with a one year assembly gurantee. Anything having to do with our assembly of your new bike is covered by this year long service plan.
- Satisfaction Guarantee – If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, we’ll endeavour to provide a satisfactory outcome. Refunds are only given with return of the original receipt.
- Repair Guarantee – Our repairs are guaranteed for one month. If you have any problems with repairs to your bike, we will do our best to ensure they are solved to your satisfaction.
- Product Warranty – We will serve as the broker for any warranty arising from any faulty product purchased from Sooke Mountain Cycle Ltd.
Returns
- Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.
- Reciept must be present at time of return.
- Refunds will be issued in the form in which the item(s) was purchased. In-store credit is available for all returns.
- In-store credit will be issued on all non-stocking Special Orders. A restocking fee of up to 25% of a Special Order refund may be withheld.
- In-store credit will be issued on gifts being returned without a receipt.
- Returns must be in “as-new”, “sellable” condition and have all original packaging materials.
- No returns on apparel.
- No returns on closeout or sale items.
- No returns on gift card/gift certificate purchases.
Bicycle returns
bicycles in like new condition can be returned for refund within 7 days of purchase, and a 10% restocking fee will apply
bicycles in used condition can not be returned for a refund, although an in-store credit may be issued on a case by case basis, amount depending on the condition of the bike
